Innoviz Technologies Ltd. has broadened its product portfolio to include the InnovizSMART and InnovizTwo Ultra Long‑Range (ULR) LiDAR sensors for government, police, and airport security customers. The 905 nm Time‑of‑Flight architecture delivers high‑resolution 3‑D point clouds up to 450 meters with InnovizSMART and up to 1 kilometer with InnovizTwo ULR, meeting the ruggedness and long‑range requirements of mission‑critical security operations.

The move is part of a broader strategy to reduce the company’s reliance on the automotive market, which accounted for 81 % of its 2025 revenue of $55.1 million. Innoviz projects 2026 revenue of $67 million to $73 million, with non‑automotive applications expected to contribute up to 10 % of total sales. By leveraging its automotive‑grade technology, Innoviz can enter the defense sector without additional capital investment, positioning the new offering as a low‑cost, high‑performance alternative to radar and camera systems.

Prior to this announcement, InnovizSMART had already been deployed in perimeter‑security installations in Israel and showcased at the Defense.tech expo in February 2026. The InnovizTwo ULR, launched on April 22 2026, extends the company’s existing product family to provide enhanced range and resolution for a variety of non‑automotive use cases, including homeland security and defense applications.

CEO Omer Keilaf said, "Using the technological foundation that made Innoviz a trusted Tier‑1 supplier to the world's leading automotive manufacturers, Innoviz now brings its innovation to the HLS and defense markets. We believe that this technological edge supports the performance and reliability that defense and security customers demand." Defense expert Azarel Ram added, "Defense and homeland security applications require reliable 3D perception in degraded and unpredictable environments. Innoviz's LiDAR brings proven automotive‑grade robustness and high‑resolution sensing that can support navigation, situational awareness, and object detection in complex operational conditions."

The expansion is expected to generate higher average selling prices and shorter sales cycles, potentially boosting margins and accelerating cash flow as production scales. By entering a market with longer sales cycles but higher ASPs, Innoviz aims to balance its revenue mix and reduce volatility associated with the automotive sector, positioning the company for more sustainable growth in the coming years.
