IsoEnergy Ltd. completed an expanded winter exploration drilling program at its Larocque East project, part of the company’s flagship Hurricane deposit in the eastern Athabasca Basin. The program grew from an initial 13 diamond drill holes totaling 5,200 m to 17 holes covering 6,804 m, a change driven by encouraging early results that prompted the company to increase the scope of the campaign.
The drilling intersected a 30,050 cps anomaly over 1.0 m in a newly reinterpreted fault zone on the deposit’s south trend. The Hurricane deposit is one of the world’s highest‑grade indicated uranium resources, with 48.6 million lb U₃O₈ at 34.5 % U₃O₈ indicated and 2.7 million lb U₃O₈ at 2.2 % U₃O₈ inferred. The new anomaly could increase the resource estimate and strengthen IsoEnergy’s position in the Athabasca Basin, a region renowned for large, high‑grade uranium mines.
IsoEnergy’s exploration strategy focuses on expanding known high‑grade deposits and testing greenfield targets. The Larocque East project benefits from proximity to the McClean Lake mill, about 40 km away, which could reduce development costs and timelines.
