JetBlue and United announced on February 10, 2026 that the Blue Sky partnership now allows customers to book eligible itineraries on either carrier’s website or mobile app using cash, points, or miles. This marks the first time cross‑carrier reservations are available between the two airlines.

The new capability builds on the October 2025 launch of reciprocal earning and redemption, and now lets JetBlue Vacations customers include United flights in Flight + Hotel packages. It also opens the door to future reciprocal perks such as priority boarding and preferred seating slated for spring 2026.

United’s MileagePlus Travel will transition to the Paisly platform later in 2026, while JetBlue will grant United access to up to seven daily round‑trip slots at JFK’s new Terminal 6 beginning in 2027. Some JetBlue routes remain ineligible for booking through United’s channels, but the partnership covers a broad network of domestic and international flights.

Management emphasized the strategic fit. JetBlue President Marty St. George said the move “expands the choice and flexibility we offer customers when they travel.” United EVP Andrew Nocella noted that “more choice, flexibility and a better overall booking experience” will benefit both airlines. JetBlue CEO Joanna Geraghty highlighted that the collaboration supports the JetForward strategy and strengthens TrueBlue members’ value.

The expansion is expected to deepen loyalty program engagement, increase cross‑carrier revenue, and enhance competitive positioning against larger alliances. By leveraging United’s global network and JetBlue’s leisure‑focused U.S. presence, the partnership aims to capture a broader share of the travel market and drive higher utilization of both airlines’ loyalty ecosystems.

The announcement follows JetBlue’s 2025 JetForward initiatives, which focus on profitability, network optimization, and fleet modernization, and United’s “United Next” international expansion. The cross‑booking capability aligns with industry trends toward direct distribution and integrated travel experiences, positioning both carriers to better serve evolving customer expectations.
