James Hardie has extended its exclusive partnership with CBUSA, the nation’s largest group purchasing organization for custom home builders, to cover TimberTech® decking and railing products for a three‑year term.
The new agreement gives CBUSA’s network of nearly 1,000 builders access to TimberTech’s premium composite and PVC decking and railing solutions, broadening James Hardie’s footprint in the outdoor‑living market and adding high‑margin product lines to its portfolio.
The expansion builds on James Hardie’s July 2025 acquisition of The AZEK Company, which brought TimberTech into the company’s brand family. By integrating TimberTech into its existing CBUSA relationship, James Hardie is delivering a more complete exterior solutions offering and creating a new revenue channel within a well‑established distribution network.
James Hardie’s Q3 2026 financial results provide context for the deal’s significance: revenue reached $1.24 billion, up 30.1% year‑over‑year, and earnings per share were $0.24. Adjusted EBITDA margin was 26.6%, slightly lower than the 27.6% reported in Q4 2025, reflecting a modest compression as the company balances cost pressures with pricing power in its high‑margin segments.
Segment performance highlights that the Deck, Rail & Accessories division contributed to the revenue growth, while the Siding & Trim segment remained stable. The inclusion of TimberTech products is expected to reinforce the Deck, Rail & Accessories mix and support the company’s margin objectives.
Jon Skelly, President and General Manager of James Hardie Building Products, said, “This agreement is a powerful testament to the momentum of our integrated business model and our commitment to providing the industry with a comprehensive portfolio of beautiful, durable, and sustainable exterior and outdoor living products.” Brian Pavlick, President of CBUSA, added, “James Hardie has been a valued supplier of CBUSA for many years, and we’re excited to build on that success with the addition of TimberTech.”
The deal positions James Hardie against competitors such as Trex in the composite decking market, offering builders a single source for both siding and outdoor living products. By leveraging the AZEK acquisition and CBUSA’s buying power, James Hardie can accelerate market penetration and strengthen its competitive advantage in the growing outdoor‑living segment.
