Coffee Holding Co. reported its first‑quarter 2026 financial results, showing revenue of $25.566 million, a 20% year‑over‑year increase from $21.305 million in the same period last year. The company also posted earnings per share of $0.29, up from $0.20 in Q1 2025, reflecting stronger sales across its private‑label, branded, and green‑bean segments.
Gross profit rose to $7.029 million, giving a gross margin of 27%, slightly higher than the 26.9% margin reported in Q1 2025. The margin improvement was driven by the company’s focus on a single East Coast manufacturing facility and reduced tariff exposure, which lowered operating costs and allowed the firm to maintain pricing power.
Management highlighted that the integration of the Empire Coffee acquisition, completed in November 2024 for $800,000, continues to contribute to growth. “With the majority of the tariff fees and expenses behind us, combined with the efficiencies of operating only one east coast manufacturing facility instead of two, we were able to markedly improve our profitability this quarter. Sales remain strong in all three business segments; private label, branded sales, and sales of green unroasted beans to smaller regional roasters,” said President and CEO Andrew Gordon.
The company also noted that coffee‑market volatility and macro‑economic headwinds remain a challenge. “Although coffee markets continue to remain volatile and the macro‑economic situation is facing new challenges, we believe that our core businesses remain strong and we should be able to continue to deliver positive results to our shareholders,” Gordon added.
Investors responded positively to the results, citing the robust revenue growth and improved profitability, while acknowledging that margin pressure from commodity costs and trading losses could impact near‑term liquidity.
