Leidos Holdings, Inc. has secured a $617 million contract from the U.S. Army to build and deliver additional launchers for the Indirect Fire Protection Capability Increment 2 (IFPC Inc 2) ground‑based air‑defense system. The award brings Leidos’ total contracts for the IFPC Inc 2 program to nearly $1.2 billion, following earlier $356 million awards in July and September 2025.

The new launchers will support the Army’s effort to field the system at scale through 2029, reinforcing Leidos’ role as a key systems integrator for the Department of Defense. The contract aligns with the company’s NorthStar 2030 strategy, which prioritizes growth in high‑margin defense and security contracts and the expansion of AI‑driven operational excellence.

"These awards reflect the Army's confidence in our team and the growing demand for a proven defense system that's available today." – Dino Pusinsky, vice president of the IFPC Inc 2 product area at Leidos.

"We're working with our Army and industry partners to apply innovative manufacturing and engineering strategies that ensure this capability is ready when and where it's needed, while building resiliency and capacity across the supply chain to support sustained, scalable production." – Dino Pusinsky, vice president of the IFPC Inc 2 product area at Leidos.

With the contract, Leidos secures a steady revenue stream that represents about 3.6% of its FY 2025 top line of $17.2 billion. The funding horizon through 2029 provides the company with long‑term visibility and positions it to capitalize on the growing demand for mobile, ground‑based air‑defense solutions that counter cruise missiles and unmanned aerial threats.
