L3Harris Technologies announced that Kenneth (Ken) Sharp will become the company’s Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective March 16, 2026. Sharp succeeds Ken Bedingfield, who will focus exclusively on leading the Missile Solutions segment as it prepares for an initial public offering later this year.

Sharp brings more than three decades of finance leadership in the defense and technology sectors, having served as Executive Vice President and CFO at Peraton, and previously as CFO for DXC Technology and Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems business. His experience is expected to support L3Harris’s ongoing LHX NeXt transformation, which aims to accelerate technology reinvention and operational efficiency across the organization.

Bedingfield’s transition to the Missile Solutions business underscores the company’s strategic focus on the solid‑rocket‑motor market, a segment that has attracted significant government interest and is poised for a public listing. The move aligns with L3Harris’s broader portfolio expansion, including recent acquisitions of Aerojet Rocketdyne and Viasat’s Link 16 tactical data‑link product line, and the divestiture of a controlling interest in its Space Propulsion and Power Systems division to AE Industrial Partners for $845 million, retaining a 40% stake.

L3Harris recently secured a $466 million contract from the U.S. Department of War to develop and produce the Binocular Night Observation Device, and the company’s stock reached an all‑time high of $369.87 on March 2, 2026. Analysts at Bernstein SocGen Group raised their price target to $435, citing the company’s alignment with Pentagon priorities and enhanced operational performance.

"I'm delighted to welcome Ken to our leadership team," said Christopher Kubasik, Chairman and CEO of L3Harris. "He brings relevant expertise, operational rigor, and a deep appreciation for the responsibility we carry in serving our customers and warfighters. I'd also like to congratulate Ken Bedingfield, who will dedicate his full attention to leading Missile Solutions as it prepares for its initial public offering later this year. His experience, business knowledge and leadership will ensure accelerated production of solid rocket motors for critical defense programs."

"I am honored to join L3Harris at such an important time for the company and the industry," said Sharp. "L3Harris has an exceptional portfolio of mission‑critical technologies and a strong commitment to innovation. I look forward to working alongside Chris and the leadership team to support our customers' missions and creating long‑term value for stakeholders."
