Liberty Latin America and Amazon Web Services entered into a five‑year strategic collaboration that will deploy AWS Outposts in Liberty’s own facilities, allowing the company to offer cloud capabilities while keeping data within customer‑specified geographic boundaries.

The partnership also includes migrating more than 500 customer workloads and internal systems to AWS Transform, a platform that prepares workloads for AI readiness, and expanding AWS compute and storage services to the edge of Liberty’s network and data centers.

The deal positions Liberty to strengthen its B2B cloud services, a segment that accounted for 31% of the company’s nine‑month revenue of US$4.4 billion as of September 2025. AWS already operates cloud regions in Brazil and Mexico, with a new region under construction in Chile, giving Liberty a regional partner that can meet data‑sovereignty and regulatory requirements while delivering scalable, secure cloud solutions.

"The pace of digital transformation across Latin America and the Caribbean is accelerating, and organizations need technology foundations that allow them to move faster without sacrificing security or reliability," said Balan Nair, President and CEO of Liberty Latin America. "By combining Liberty Latin America’s deep regional expertise and strong customer relationships together with AWS Cloud and AI capabilities, enterprises across Latin America and the Caribbean will gain access to a trusted partner who understands both their business challenges and has the technical solutions needed to drive growth," added Jan Hofmeyr, Vice President of Telecommunications at AWS. "Enterprises across Latin America and the Caribbean are looking to modernize their IT infrastructure and adopt cloud technologies to drive efficiency and growth. By partnering with AWS, we will be able to offer B2B customers an unmatched service that provides secure, flexible, and scalable cloud and AI solutions while supporting their broader digital transformation and ICT needs," said Aamir Hussain, Senior Vice President, Chief Technology and Product Officer at Liberty Latin America.

Liberty Latin America reported a Q3 2025 earnings beat, with earnings per share of US$0.02 versus a consensus estimate of –US$0.06, and revenue of US$1.11 billion versus an estimate of US$1.09 billion. The company’s Q4 2025 results, scheduled for release on February 18, 2026, are expected to show earnings per share of US$0.05 and revenue of US$1.13 billion, according to analyst estimates. The partnership is expected to support the company’s ongoing digital transformation and could provide new revenue streams and cost efficiencies that reinforce its financial trajectory.

The collaboration is a strategic move that aligns with the broader industry shift toward telecommunications providers enabling cloud adoption at scale. By leveraging AWS’s cloud and AI capabilities, Liberty can accelerate the modernization of its own infrastructure, improve operational leverage, and offer differentiated services to its B2B customers. The partnership also positions Liberty to meet growing demand for secure, flexible, and scalable cloud solutions in a region where data‑sovereignty requirements are increasingly stringent.

In summary, the five‑year collaboration with Amazon Web Services represents a significant step for Liberty Latin America as it seeks to expand its cloud footprint, strengthen its B2B service portfolio, and drive long‑term growth in a rapidly evolving telecommunications landscape.
