Mobileye announced a new driver‑monitoring system contract with a leading U.S. automaker, integrating its DMS into future vehicles that will be equipped with the EyeQ6L system‑on‑chip. Production of the integrated solution is slated to begin in 2027.
The agreement expands the scope and feature set of Mobileye’s existing ADAS program and is expected to span millions of vehicles across multiple models and model years. By consolidating driver‑monitoring and exterior road‑perception functions onto a single chip, the deal provides a significant recurring revenue stream and reinforces Mobileye’s competitive advantage in the rapidly growing driver‑monitoring market.
The EyeQ6L chip delivers high‑efficiency performance with power consumption comparable to older generations while offering greater computing power for core ADAS applications. Through 2025, Mobileye’s EyeQ technology has been installed in more than 230 million vehicles worldwide, and the new contract aligns with regulatory momentum such as Euro NCAP 2026 scoring requirements that demand advanced driver‑monitoring capabilities.
"The next generation of intelligent driving demands richer context from every part of the vehicle – the road ahead, the cabin, and the interplay between them," said Nimrod Nehushtan, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Strategy at Mobileye.
