Moody’s Corporation announced the opening of a new regional headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of its strategy to deepen its footprint in the Middle East. The Riyadh office will serve as a hub for the region, providing broader access to Moody’s decision‑grade data, analytics and insights for Saudi institutions and investors.

CEO Rob Fauber said the move reflects confidence in the Kingdom’s economic momentum and the company’s commitment to helping domestic and international investors unlock opportunities under Vision 2030. The new headquarters follows Moody’s first Saudi office, opened in 2018, and signals a continued focus on emerging markets, positioning the company to capture local‑currency debt issuance and support the growing capital‑market activity in the Gulf region.

Moody’s has approximately 16,000 employees across more than 40 countries. The Riyadh office will be led by Mahmoud Totonji, who previously helped establish Moody’s Ratings in Saudi Arabia. The expansion aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the economy away from oil and attract foreign investment. By establishing a regional hub, Moody’s can provide tailored market intelligence and support the Kingdom’s goal of expanding its sovereign and corporate debt markets.

The announcement follows strong financial performance in the first quarter of 2025, when Moody’s reported revenue of $1.924 billion—up 8% year‑over‑year—and an adjusted diluted EPS of $3.83, up 14% year‑over‑year. These results demonstrate the company’s capacity to invest in strategic initiatives such as the Riyadh headquarters while maintaining robust profitability.

The new regional headquarters is expected to enhance Moody’s ability to serve the growing demand for credit ratings and market data in the Middle East, reinforcing its position as a leading provider of financial intelligence in a region undergoing rapid economic transformation.
