Mobilicom Ltd. announced the launch of its SkyHopper MultiBand, a software‑defined radio that delivers cyber‑secure wideband coverage for loitering munitions, small unmanned aerial systems and compact robotic platforms. The new unit replaces multiple narrowband radios with a single secured autonomy module, providing continuous protection of mission data, command links and telemetry in contested electromagnetic environments. It operates from 1.2 GHz to 2.7 GHz, a range that exceeds that of comparable U.S. Army M1–M6 radios and offers enhanced line‑of‑sight range and foliage performance.

The MultiBand integrates Mobilicom’s ICE cybersecurity suite, delivering real‑time anti‑jamming and interference avoidance. The combination of broad frequency coverage and advanced cyber protection positions the product as a future‑proof solution for defense OEMs and system integrators seeking global deployment flexibility across the U.S., Europe and NATO member states.

"SkyHopper MultiBand is designed to keep missions controllable in the midst of chaos in the most contested environments. It also represents a meaningful expansion of Mobilicom's addressable market and global reach," said CEO Oren Elkayam. "As defense spending accelerates worldwide and modern warfare increasingly relies on loitering drones, compact robotics, and resilient autonomous systems, the demand for secure, spectrum‑agile communications continues to grow. By delivering one of the broadest frequency coverages in a single SDR data link among comparable companies in the industry, combined with our ICE cybersecurity and anti‑jamming software, we are aiming to provide OEMs with a future‑proof solution aligned with the realities of electronic warfare," Elkayam added.

The SkyHopper MultiBand’s inclusion in the U.S. Department of Defense’s Blue UAS Framework underscores its readiness for operational use and signals strong traction with defense contractors. The product’s global deployment capability aligns with rising defense spending and the growing reliance on autonomous systems, positioning Mobilicom to capture a larger share of the secure communications market.

Mobilicom has reported revenue growth through 2024 and the first half of 2025, with gross margins consistently around 55‑58%. The company continues to post net losses, but its strategy to shift toward higher‑margin software solutions such as OS3 and ICE is aimed at achieving profitability by 2027. The SkyHopper launch is a key step in that transition, expanding the company’s product portfolio while reinforcing its focus on cyber‑secure, spectrum‑agile solutions for the defense sector.
