Nvidia announced a $2 billion investment in Marvell Technology and a deepening partnership that will integrate Marvell’s custom XPUs and NVLink‑compatible networking into Nvidia’s NVLink Fusion AI‑factory and AI‑RAN ecosystem.

The collaboration will see Marvell supply custom accelerated processors and high‑speed interconnects, while Nvidia will provide Vera CPUs, ConnectX NICs, Bluefield DPUs, NVLink interconnects, Spectrum‑X switches, and rack‑scale AI compute platforms. Joint work will also focus on silicon photonics and the development of AI‑driven telecommunications infrastructure for 5G and 6G networks.

By tying Marvell’s high‑speed interconnect and custom silicon capabilities to Nvidia’s AI compute ecosystem, the partnership aims to accelerate the deployment of specialized AI infrastructure for hyperscalers and other large‑scale AI customers, giving customers greater flexibility in building AI systems that leverage Nvidia’s dominant interconnect fabric.

Marvell’s recent financials underscore the strategic fit: Q4 FY2025 revenue reached $1.817 billion, up 27% year‑over‑year, with data‑center revenue up 78% and accounting for 75% of total revenue. Q1 FY2026 revenue rose to $1.895 billion, a 63% year‑over‑year increase, with data‑center revenue contributing 76% of total. Non‑GAAP diluted EPS was $0.60 in Q4 FY2025 and $0.62 in Q1 FY2026. Nvidia’s Q4 FY2026 revenue was $68.13 billion, with data‑center revenue up 75% year‑over‑year. The $2 billion stake is expected to support Marvell’s growth in data‑center revenue and strengthen its competitive moat in custom silicon and interconnect solutions.

Jensen Huang, Nvidia’s CEO, said, “The inference inflection has arrived. Token generation demand is surging, and the world is racing to build AI factories. Together with Marvell, we are enabling customers to leverage NVIDIA’s AI infrastructure ecosystem and scale to build specialized AI compute.” Matt Murphy, Marvell’s chairman and CEO, added, “Our expanded partnership with NVIDIA reflects the growing importance of high‑speed connectivity, optical interconnect and accelerated infrastructure in scaling AI. By connecting Marvell’s leadership in high‑performance analog, optical DSP, silicon photonics and custom silicon to NVIDIA’s expanding AI ecosystem through NVLink Fusion, we are enabling customers to build scalable, efficient AI infrastructure.”

The announcement was well received by investors, reflecting confidence in the strategic value of the collaboration and the potential for accelerated growth in AI infrastructure markets.
