Nephros, Inc. announced on April 1 2026 that it is expanding its water‑safety portfolio by adding a water‑management‑program development service. The new offering is enabled by the ASSE 12080 Legionella Water Safety and Management Specialist Certification earned by Director of Business Development Brianne McGuire.

The new service allows Nephros to design and implement structured Water Management Programs (WMPs) for healthcare facilities and other complex buildings. It complements the company’s existing point‑of‑use filtration solutions and installation services, creating a more comprehensive water‑safety solution set.

By offering consultative support, Nephros can generate additional revenue through chargeable consulting fees, while strengthening relationships with current customers. The expansion diversifies the company’s revenue mix beyond its core filtration products, potentially improving resilience against market fluctuations in the dialysis and hospital segments.

The move positions Nephros to capture a larger share of the growing water‑safety market, driven by new regulations and heightened awareness of waterborne pathogens. The ASSE 12080 certification equips the company to meet evolving compliance requirements and to provide end‑to‑end solutions that address Legionella risk.

Nephros reported strong financial results for Q4 2025 and FY 2025, with revenue up 22% YoY to $4.7 million in the quarter and 33% YoY to $18.8 million for the year. Net income rose to $1.2 million for FY 2025 from $0.1 million in 2024, while gross margin for the year remained at 62% despite a 58% margin in Q4 2025, compressed by tariffs on imports from Italy. CEO Robert Banks described 2025 as “transformational,” citing the company’s “Products, Service, and Education” strategy and an extended supply agreement with Medica.

The new WMP service aligns with Nephros’ strategy to broaden its product, service, and education portfolio. By adding a high‑margin consulting arm, the company can leverage its technical expertise to capture new revenue streams while mitigating the impact of tariff‑related margin pressure. The certification and expanded service offering strengthen Nephros’ competitive position in a market that is increasingly focused on comprehensive water‑safety compliance.
