NIQ Global Intelligence plc and Japan‑based INTAGE HD announced a strategic partnership on April 24 2026 to broaden retail‑measurement capabilities across Japan and global markets. The collaboration will combine INTAGE HD’s deep local store‑panel data with NIQ’s global retail‑measurement platform, enabling clients to access consistent, comparable insights in both domestic and international contexts.

The alliance is designed to enhance NIQ’s “Full View” data moat by adding a robust Japanese data set. INTAGE HD’s SRI+ and SRI+EC panels will feed into NIQ’s existing retail‑measurement services, which cover more than 100 countries. The integration will provide a unified measurement framework for brands operating across borders, delivering more accurate cross‑market performance analytics and supporting pricing, innovation, and operating‑management decisions.

The partnership strengthens NIQ’s competitive position in the Asia‑Pacific region and supports its broader AI‑driven efficiency strategy. By enriching its data assets with Japanese retail insights, NIQ can further develop AI‑powered analytics and commerce solutions, such as the NIQ Commerce Lab and AI assistants, to deliver end‑to‑end consumer insights across omnichannel environments.

"Clients today are increasingly looking for a more complete and connected understanding of consumer buying behavior across markets. Our collaboration with INTAGE HD strengthens our ability to deliver The Full View™—bringing together local depth and global scale to help clients unlock new opportunities and drive growth," said Chang Park, Managing Director of NIQ’s Northeast Asia Cluster. "Japan is a highly complex and unique market, and a deep understanding of the local market and a global perspective are both essential to realizing business growth. Through this collaboration, we will combine the strengths of both companies to provide more consistent and actionable insights in the Japanese and global markets, strongly supporting our clients’ decision‑making and growth," added Yoshiya Nishi, CEO of INTAGE HOLDINGS Inc.

The alliance is expected to drive new client acquisition and revenue growth for NIQ in the Japanese market while reinforcing its global measurement leadership. The expanded data footprint will also enhance NIQ’s AI initiatives, providing richer inputs for machine‑learning models that power its omnichannel analytics and commerce solutions. For INTAGE HD, the partnership offers clients access to NIQ’s extensive global retail‑measurement services, facilitating international expansion and cross‑market benchmarking.
