NETGEAR announced a significant expansion of its M4350 switch portfolio, adding two new models that target the growing AV‑over‑IP market. The M4350‑16M4V delivers 16 2.5 G PoE++ ports and four 25 G SFP28 uplinks, while the M4350‑16C offers 16 100 G ports, both featuring Neutrik locking connectors, redundant modular power supplies, and SMPTE ST 2110 timing support. The new switches bring the M4350 lineup to 18 models that span 1 G to 100 G, positioning NETGEAR to meet the bandwidth demands of broadcast and professional audio‑visual deployments.
NETGEAR also rolled out version 2.4 of its Engage controller, which introduces offline provisioning. This capability lets integrators design, test, and export network configurations without a live connection, cutting on‑site setup time and reducing cable failures. The updated controller will be available in February 2026, while the new switches are slated for March 2026.
The product launch aligns with NETGEAR’s broader strategy to move beyond consumer hardware into higher‑margin enterprise solutions. By expanding its M4350 portfolio and adding offline provisioning, the company strengthens its position in the AV‑over‑IP market, which is projected to grow from $13.5 B in 2024 to $28.9 B by 2032. The new switches also support TAA compliance, opening opportunities for U.S. government and defense contracts.
NETGEAR’s senior product manager, Laurent Masia, highlighted that the offline provisioning feature responds directly to integrator feedback on on‑site deployment challenges. “Offline provisioning lets you configure networks from anywhere and deploy in minutes,” Masia said, adding that the Neutrik locking connectors and high‑power PoE++ ensure reliable field performance.
The announcement follows NETGEAR’s recent acquisition of VAAG Systems, which bolstered the company’s software and AI engineering talent. Together, the hardware and software enhancements signal a concerted effort to capture a larger share of the professional networking market and to deliver integrated solutions that meet the stringent reliability and bandwidth requirements of modern AV deployments.
