NWPX Infrastructure announced the completion of its acquisition of Boughton's Precast, Inc. on February 23, 2026. The deal adds a Pueblo, Colorado facility that manufactures reinforced concrete pipe, manholes, catch basins and grease traps, expanding NWPX’s precast manufacturing footprint in the Mountain States.
The acquisition is the company’s third in just over six years, following the 2020 purchase of Geneva Pipe and the 2021 acquisition of ParkUSA. With the new facility, NWPX now operates 13 manufacturing sites across North America, creating a new beachhead for serving customers in a growing regional market.
Boughton's Precast was founded in 1974, while NWPX (formerly Northwest Pipe Company) was founded in 1966. The transaction is expected to be immediately accretive to earnings and broadens the product portfolio under the NWPX Precast brand. NWPX plans to leverage cross‑facility production to improve utilization and margins.
CEO Scott Montross said the acquisition provides a strategic beachhead in the Mountain States and supports the company’s long‑term organic growth strategy. The move aligns with NWPX’s broader plan to grow its precast segment and capitalize on increasing demand for infrastructure projects in the region.
No deal value was disclosed, and financial terms remain confidential. The acquisition is part of NWPX’s strategy to consolidate the precast market and enhance its competitive position.
