NeutronX announced on April 20, 2026 that it had obtained a Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code and entered into a partnership with NextNRG Inc. to pursue large‑scale federal energy and infrastructure opportunities. The collaboration targets defense, federal agencies, and critical infrastructure, with a projected pipeline of approximately $1.3 billion to $2.2 billion in potential contract value.
The partnership combines NeutronX’s autonomous government‑contracting intelligence system—an AI‑powered platform that identifies, validates, and prioritizes federal opportunities—with NextNRG’s AI‑driven microgrid and renewable infrastructure expertise. Together, the companies aim to bid on high‑priority projects such as microgrids, battery storage, and AI‑powered energy management for military bases and federal facilities.
NextNRG’s revenue grew 195% to $81.8 million in 2025, up from $27.8 million in 2024, but the company posted a GAAP net loss of $88.2 million. The federal contracts represented by this partnership could diversify NextNRG’s revenue base beyond its mobile fueling business and provide a new source of long‑term, structured revenue that may improve profitability over time.
Prior to this announcement, NextNRG and NeutronX had entered into a two‑year exclusive cooperation agreement effective February 18, 2026, which was announced on February 25, 2026. That earlier announcement was positively received by investors, reflecting confidence in the strategic expansion into the federal market. The April 20 announcement builds on that foundation by securing the necessary CAGE code and formalizing the partnership’s focus on federal contracting.
"This agreement moves our relationship with NeutronX from alignment to execution. By combining these capabilities with NeutronX’s federal access and AI expertise, we believe we are well positioned to pursue mission‑critical government energy projects across the country," said Michael D. Farkas, CEO of NextNRG.
