Ooma Launches POTSTracker.com, AI‑Powered Platform to Track POTS Line Discontinuance

Ooma announced the launch of POTSTracker.com on February 17, 2026, an AI‑powered platform that gives enterprises real‑time visibility into the retirement of copper‑based Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) lines. The service helps multi‑site organizations monitor carrier discontinuance notices and plan transitions for mission‑critical systems such as fire alarms, elevators and security systems, reducing the risk of unexpected outages.

The platform is available immediately to Ooma partners, resellers and customers, and can be accessed at no charge by qualified organizations evaluating POTS risk. Ooma’s strategy to offer a free tool is designed to attract potential customers and demonstrate expertise in managing the transition away from legacy POTS lines, potentially driving adoption of its other services such as Ooma AirDial.

Ooma’s launch comes after a strong Q3 fiscal 2026 performance, with revenue of $67.63 million and non‑GAAP EPS of $0.27, beating analyst estimates of $0.22. Subscription and services revenue, largely driven by Ooma Business, accounted for 92% of total revenue. The company’s focus on high‑margin services and disciplined cost management helped it achieve the earnings beat.

The launch aligns with regulatory changes that have accelerated the retirement of copper infrastructure, as the FCC has reduced legacy copper service obligations. Ooma’s acquisition plans, including the pending purchase of FluentStream and Phone.com, and its recognition of Ooma AirDial as a 2025 Competitive Strategy Leader, position the company to capture the growing market for POTS replacement solutions.

"The retirement of copper‑based voice services is no longer a future concern—it's a present‑day operational risk for organizations that depend on POTS for critical systems," said Chris Burgy, senior vice president of corporate development at Ooma. "Many organizations don't realize they are in a discontinuance path until they receive notice or experience a disruption. With POTSTracker.com, we're giving enterprises the visibility, intelligence, and confidence they need to stay ahead of carrier discontinuance activity, protect essential services, and plan transitions on their own terms—before outages and surprises occur."
