Otis Worldwide Corporation announced the launch of Viva Solutions, a purpose‑built suite of elevator features aimed at improving safety, reliability, and intuitive operation for older adults. The package includes enhanced uptime, easier entry and exit, improved lighting and visibility, clear visual and auditory signals, and handrails for added stability.
Viva Solutions are designed to be retrofitted onto existing elevators or incorporated into new installations. They are available on Otis’s Gen3 and Gen360 platforms, which were introduced in 2021 and provide compact, space‑saving designs that enable new elevators in buildings that previously lacked shaft space. The small‑upgrade option allows building owners to enhance accessibility without a full refurbishment, supporting Otis’s service‑driven growth strategy.
The launch aligns with Otis’s broader commitment to inclusive mobility and the company’s 2026 outlook, which projects low to mid‑single‑digit organic sales growth driven by service and modernization. By targeting the aging population—a demographic that is projected to double by 2050—Otis positions itself to capture a growing market for accessible infrastructure.
As part of its corporate social responsibility, Otis is donating select Viva Solutions to a senior living center in Le Cannet, France, to remove mobility barriers and support independent living for residents.
Viva Solutions will be available for rollout beginning in May 2026 and will be offered in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States.
