Keel Holdings, LLC, a leading advanced‑manufacturing contractor for the U.S. Navy, has entered into a partnership with Palantir Technologies Inc. to support the Navy’s ShipOS initiative, a program designed to modernize the maritime industrial base through artificial intelligence and data integration.

Under the agreement, Keel will embed Palantir’s Foundry platform and Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP) into its operations, with a direct integration between Keel’s IFS enterprise system and Palantir’s tools. The integration is intended to streamline schedule planning, optimize production workflows, and create a unified data foundation for decision‑making across Keel’s organization.

ShipOS is backed by up to $448 million in authorized funding and will be rolled out across the Navy’s shipbuilders, shipyards, and more than 100 suppliers, with an initial focus on the submarine industrial base. The program’s goal is to deliver measurable cost savings through improved schedules, reduced delays, and increased production efficiency, with productivity gains expected to offset the initial investment.

The partnership expands Palantir’s presence in defense manufacturing and provides a new, long‑term revenue stream from a high‑profile government program. Palantir’s recent Q4 results—70 % year‑over‑year revenue growth, 79 % EPS growth, and record contract bookings of $4.26 billion—underscore the company’s ability to win large defense contracts and monetize its AI platform at scale.

"The ability to rapidly deliver ships is essential to our nation's security and industrial strength. By leveraging Palantir's AI‑powered ShipOS, we are taking meaningful steps to accelerate our schedules, streamline operations, and enhance collaboration across the supply chain," said Brian Carter, CEO of Keel Holdings. Secretary of the Navy John Phelan added, "This investment provides the resources our shipbuilders, shipyards, and suppliers need to modernize their operations and succeed in meeting our nation's defense requirements." Dr. Alex Karp, co‑founder and CEO of Palantir, noted, "Palantir's very existence is built on giving American warfighters the most dominant advantage in the world. Working with the U.S. Navy is the embodiment of our mission. ShipOS arms the welders, engineers, and logisticians inside America's marine industrial base with the software they deserve."

The partnership aligns with Palantir’s broader strategy of securing long‑term defense contracts while expanding its commercial AI footprint. The ShipOS deal complements Palantir’s recent commercial AI adoption, which saw a 137 % year‑over‑year revenue increase, and positions the company to capture additional market share in the defense sector as the U.S. military accelerates its AI push.
