PPG will showcase its protective coatings solutions and application services for data‑center facilities at the Data Center World conference and expo, held April 20‑23 in Washington, D.C. The company will demonstrate its single‑source coating and application capabilities for interior and exterior data‑center infrastructure, equipment, and components at booth #457.

In a separate announcement, PPG revealed the installation of an advanced testing line for radiation‑curable coatings at its R&D Center of Excellence in Marly, France. The new line will test multiple curing technologies—including infrared, ultraviolet (LED, excimer and arc lamps), and electron beam—allowing the company to replicate customer production conditions and accelerate development cycles while reducing the number of customer trials needed.

The new testing line reflects PPG’s commitment to energy‑efficient finishing solutions. Mark Poland, regional technical director, said, "Our deep expertise and broad capabilities in radiation curing set PPG apart and strengthen our position as a leader in energy‑efficient finishing solutions. This investment enables us to tailor finishing technologies to our customers' specific lines, processes and curing conditions, delivering measurable gains in performance and efficiency."

PPG’s recent financial performance underscores the strategic importance of these initiatives. In Q4 2025, the company posted net sales of $3.9 billion, a 3 % organic sales increase, and an adjusted EPS of $1.51. The Q1 2026 pre‑announcement saw an adjusted EPS of $1.83, beating consensus of $1.71 and marking the fifth consecutive quarter of organic sales growth.

Management highlighted the role of these developments in sustaining margin expansion. Tim Knavish, chairman and CEO, noted, "I am pleased that we have delivered our fifth consecutive quarter of organic sales growth, with positive selling prices and flat sales volumes. Strong performance in our differentiated architectural coatings Latin America and aerospace businesses coupled with the execution of our self‑help actions drove segment EBITDA margin above our original expectations." The company also announced price increases of up to 20% across its product lines to offset rising costs.

The combination of a focused data‑center presence and a cutting‑edge radiation‑curable testing capability positions PPG to capture growth in high‑performance coating markets while reinforcing its leadership in sustainable, high‑efficiency solutions.
