ParkerVision Announces June 1 Oral Arguments in Expedited Qualcomm Appeal

ParkerVision announced that the Federal Circuit has scheduled oral arguments for June 1, 2026 in its expedited appeal of the district court decision in ParkerVision v. Qualcomm.

The appeal centers on a district court decision that granted Qualcomm a stipulated non‑infringement judgment based on claim construction. ParkerVision seeks to reverse that ruling, arguing that the court misapplied the law to its patents covering signal down‑conversion.

The company’s portfolio includes 59 active patents, of which 36 are central to the Qualcomm dispute. The outcome of the appeal could determine the scope of those patents and the size of any future settlement proceeds, making the hearing a pivotal event for ParkerVision’s valuation.

ParkerVision has faced a protracted litigation battle with Qualcomm that began in 2011. The Federal Circuit has previously reversed district court rulings on collateral estoppel and expert testimony, underscoring the complexity of the case. The company also has pending cases against MediaTek and Realtek, but those trials have been postponed.

CEO Jeffrey Parker said, “We are pleased that the Federal Circuit has moved expeditiously in scheduling oral arguments in this long‑standing case, and we are hopeful that the Federal Circuit’s rulings following oral arguments will likewise be expedited.” Parker emphasized that the company’s business model depends on litigation outcomes and that a favorable ruling would provide a much‑needed boost amid ongoing cash burn and unprofitability.

With its small market capitalization and a history of net losses, ParkerVision’s reliance on litigation makes the June 1 hearing a critical milestone. A favorable decision could unlock significant settlement proceeds, while an adverse ruling would deepen financial headwinds.
