Proto Labs today launched ProDesk, an AI‑enabled manufacturing platform that consolidates the entire product development cycle into a single online dashboard. The platform delivers instant, AI‑generated quotes and design‑for‑manufacturability analysis for injection molding, CNC machining and 3D printing, allowing customers to view material options, secondary operations and lead times in real time.

ProDesk also introduces a Production Catalog that lets users flag parts ready for production, simplifying reordering and providing access to order history, documentation and quality data. The catalog is designed to keep the entire product development cycle within a single dashboard, improving collaboration and reducing time to market for engineering and procurement teams.

The launch is part of Proto Labs’ broader strategy to shift from rapid prototyping to higher‑margin production manufacturing. The company’s Q4 2025 results showed record revenue of $136.5 million, a 12.1 % year‑over‑year increase that beat analyst expectations of $128.99 million. GAAP net income of $0.25 per diluted share and non‑GAAP net income of $0.44 per diluted share also exceeded consensus estimates, reflecting strong demand in core segments and effective cost control.

Full‑year 2025 revenue reached $533.1 million, up 6.4 % YoY, while non‑GAAP gross margin rose to 44.8 %, an increase of 140 basis points driven by volume growth in U.S. factories. Management guided for 6 % to 8 % GAAP revenue growth in 2026 and projected Q1 2026 revenue of $130 million to $138 million, with non‑GAAP EPS guidance of $0.36 to $0.44 per share. These figures signal confidence in sustained double‑digit growth and margin expansion.

Proto Labs’ CEO Suresh Krishna said, 'We are excited to deliver an online experience that elevates Protolabs as a tech‑enabled partner for quality parts throughout the entire product life cycle.' He added, 'To better serve our customers from prototyping to production, ProDesk serves as the ultimate manufacturing resource for innovation.' The company also highlighted that its U.S. injection molding operations achieved ISO 13485 certification in January 2026, underscoring its commitment to medical device production.

Mark Flannery, Global Product Director for E‑commerce, noted, 'Our goal with ProDesk is to deliver an online environment that modernizes the experience of working with Protolabs. The nearly 50,000 customers will now have an industry‑leading online experience that will accelerate product development timelines.' Analysts have upgraded Proto Labs to 'Strong‑Buy' and raised price targets, reflecting confidence in the company’s strategic pivot and the market’s positive reception of the new platform.
