Parsons Corporation announced that it has been awarded a six‑year, $60 million contract by the Foothill Gold Line Construction Authority to design Phase 2B2 of the Foothill Gold Line project, adding a 2.3‑mile extension that will run from Pomona to Claremont and improve commuter access between downtown Los Angeles and eastern Los Angeles County.
The award expands Parsons’ critical‑infrastructure backlog and provides multi‑year revenue visibility, reinforcing its position as the leading design partner for the Foothill project—a partnership that has spanned more than 25 years. The new contract follows the successful completion of the Glendora‑to‑Pomona phase in 2025 and is expected to contribute a steady stream of design and construction‑support services that will help maintain the company’s high operating margins.
"Parsons has led design teams for each phase of this project for the past 25 years, and we are excited to once again be selected to continue that legacy," said Mark Fialkowski, president of Infrastructure North America. He added that extending the light‑rail corridor will open access to neighborhoods that were previously limited for commuters and will help reduce traffic congestion and improve air quality in the region.
Parsons will discuss the contract’s impact on its backlog and financial outlook during its upcoming Q4 2025 earnings call on February 11, 2026. Management is expected to provide guidance on how the new award will influence revenue growth, margin performance, and capital allocation for the remainder of the fiscal year.
The Phase 2B2 extension is part of a broader effort to expand the Metro A Line, a key transit corridor that serves more than 1.5 million riders annually. By adding 2.3 miles of track, the project will enhance regional mobility, support economic development in the eastern suburbs, and align with Los Angeles County’s goals to reduce greenhouse‑gas emissions and improve public transportation infrastructure.
