Papa John’s International, Inc. has entered into a strategic partnership with Deliverect, a global restaurant technology company, to deploy Deliverect’s Smart Dispatch & Delivery Management platform across all of its U.S. restaurants by the end of 2027.
The partnership is part of Papa John’s broader digital transformation, following a Q4 2025 earnings release that saw revenue miss expectations while earnings per share beat estimates. The company is also closing about 300 underperforming North American restaurants by 2027 and upgrading its POS and operations systems with PAR Technology, while leveraging Google Cloud for AI and data analytics.
By unifying in‑house and third‑party fulfillment, the Smart Dispatch platform will route orders from all digital channels to the most efficient delivery fleet—whether Papa John’s own drivers, third‑party partners, or a hybrid mix—through a single, intelligent system. The platform is expected to cut manual handoffs, improve delivery accuracy, and provide real‑time visibility into driver assignments and estimated arrival times, thereby enhancing customer experience and driving operational efficiency.
Deliverect, founded in 2018, serves tens of thousands of restaurants worldwide, processes millions of API calls daily, and has powered over a billion orders. The partnership will bring the company’s AI‑powered dispatch technology to more than 3,500 U.S. Papa John’s locations, marking a significant expansion for both firms.
Kevin Vasconi, Chief Digital and Technology Officer at Papa John’s, said, "As we continue to prioritize our technology evolution to deliver a better experience for our customers and our in‑store team members, one key area of improvement is to optimize and simplify our delivery process. Partnering with Deliverect allows us to do exactly that." Zhong Xu, co‑founder and CEO of Deliverect, added, "This is a massive milestone for us as we scale our AI powered Smart Dispatch platform to over +3500 US restaurants with Papa Johns."
