QuickLogic announced a mid‑six‑figure contract to implement architectural enhancements for its embedded FPGA (eFPGA) hard IP in a new customer ASIC based on Intel’s 18A technology. The deal focuses on improving power consumption, performance, and silicon area for high‑density eFPGA cores, and the enhancements are extensible to all advanced fabrication nodes.

The customer remains unnamed, and the contract value is described as mid‑six‑figure, with no further details disclosed. The enhancements were developed under contract in 2025 and are now being implemented in the customer’s ASIC. The implementation timeline has not been disclosed.

The win validates QuickLogic’s position as a sole source of optimized eFPGA IP for Intel’s leading‑edge 18A process and signals growing demand for the company’s advanced‑node IP. It also strengthens QuickLogic’s pipeline of future contracts in the high‑performance computing market.

QuickLogic’s Q4 2025 results showed revenue of $3.7 million, a 34.2% decline year‑over‑year but an 84.0% increase sequentially from Q3 2025. The company reported a non‑GAAP net loss of $2.9 million, or $0.17 per share, compared with a net income of $0.6 million, or $0.04 per share, in Q4 2024. The new contract adds a modest but meaningful revenue stream to the company’s portfolio.

"QuickLogic is committed to working closely with its lead customers to identify and implement improvements that are essential to our mutual success. With the significant PPA improvements we developed under contract in 2025, QuickLogic is very well positioned to address requirements for very high density eFPGA cores in ASICs and SoCs as well as large discrete FPGA requirements. We believe this and our improved ability to address cost‑sensitive applications, significantly broadens the scope of the markets and use‑cases we can address," said Andy Jaros, VP of IP Sales.

The market reacted positively to the announcement, with analysts noting the strategic significance of the win and its potential to broaden QuickLogic’s customer base and strengthen its competitive position in the advanced semiconductor IP market.
