Richardson Electronics, Ltd. (NASDAQ: RELL) has made its LaserSlat SAVER™ system available to customers in Brazil, marking the company’s first entry into the Latin American market for this laser‑cutting maintenance solution.
The LaserSlat SAVER™ is an eco‑friendly device that cleans and restores laser‑cutting slats, reducing downtime, improving cut quality, and extending equipment life. By avoiding hazardous chemicals and requiring minimal manual intervention, the system cuts maintenance costs and boosts machine uptime for fabricators.
Brazil is one of Latin America’s largest manufacturing markets, and the Laser Automation Market is projected to grow at a 4.2% CAGR from 2025 to 2032. The expansion aligns with Richardson’s broader strategy to grow its engineered solutions portfolio globally and to capitalize on the region’s demand for efficient, environmentally compliant manufacturing equipment.
Richardson’s Q3 FY26 net sales reached $55.5 million, up 9.5% from $51.9 million in Q4 FY25, and the company reported a profit of $0.9 million. The launch of the LaserSlat SAVER™ in March 2026 and its availability in Brazil support the company’s momentum and reinforce its focus on high‑margin engineered solutions.
Greg Peloquin, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Power & Microwave Technologies and Green Energy Solutions groups, said: 'With the introduction of the LaserSlat SAVER™ in Brazil, we are bringing a highly effective productivity solution to one of the largest manufacturing markets in the region. Brazilian fabricators can now benefit from improved cutting consistency, lower maintenance costs, and extended equipment life.'
Richardson will showcase the product at FEIMEC 2026 in São Paulo, where it will be displayed at booth E030. The event will provide an opportunity to demonstrate the system’s automation capabilities and environmental benefits to a broad audience of Brazilian manufacturers.
