Roku has added Apple TV+ to its Premium Subscriptions on The Roku Channel, allowing U.S. customers to subscribe to Apple’s original programming, live sports, and other content directly from their Roku devices. The new subscription is priced at $12.99 per month or $99 per year, and a seven‑day free trial is available for new subscribers.
The move deepens Roku’s partnership with Apple and expands the company’s premium subscription portfolio. By integrating Apple TV+ into the Roku Channel, the platform can drive higher engagement on the home screen, increase its share of subscription revenue, and enhance its data‑driven recommendation engine. The addition also positions Roku as a one‑stop hub for both ad‑supported and paid content, a key differentiator against competitors such as Amazon Fire TV, Google TV, and Apple TV.
Roku’s Q4 2025 earnings, released on February 12 2026, showed a $1.39 billion revenue increase of 16.1% year‑over‑year and an earnings per share of $0.53, well above the $0.28 consensus. Platform revenue accounted for $1.22 billion (an 18.2% rise), while device revenue grew to $170.9 million, up 3.2%. The new Apple TV+ subscription is expected to add to the platform revenue stream, further strengthening Roku’s ability to monetize its growing user base.
"The addition of Apple TV to Premium Subscriptions on The Roku Channel is a win for all – our viewers, our platform experience, and our partners at Apple. Through the scale and power of Roku's platform, we're able to drive viewer engagement and discovery of premium services like Apple TV while increasing choice and flexibility in how viewers access great subscription content. We're excited to keep expanding the Premium Subscription options for our viewers with more content partners, new collaborations, and compelling promotions," said Gil Fuchsberg, President of Subscriptions, Partnerships & Corporate Development at Roku.
The partnership is strategically significant because Apple TV+ is the exclusive U.S. streaming home for Formula 1, MLS, and Friday Night Baseball, and the integration simplifies the subscription experience for users who previously had to manage separate Apple accounts. By offering Apple TV+ within the Roku ecosystem, Roku can capture a larger share of premium subscription revenue, boost average revenue per user, and reinforce its platform‑agnostic strategy in a competitive market where device and content providers increasingly overlap.
