PowerPlan, a subsidiary of Roper Technologies, today announced the general availability of PowerPlan NXT, a next‑generation tax and accounting platform that unifies capital project planning, asset accounting, tax, lease management, budgeting, and regulatory compliance into a single SaaS‑based solution. The platform leverages AI to accelerate close cycles, enhance data quality, and provide real‑time insights for asset‑intensive enterprises.
PowerPlan NXT is aimed at utilities, oil and gas, telecommunications, transportation and other sectors that collectively manage more than $4 trillion in property, plant and equipment. The launch is positioned to capture a larger share of the growing market for cloud‑native financial management tools in high‑complexity industries, while reinforcing PowerPlan’s 99% customer retention rate and deep domain expertise.
The introduction of PowerPlan NXT expands Roper Technologies’ software portfolio and underscores the company’s strategy of adding AI and cloud capabilities to its vertical‑software businesses. PowerPlan was founded in 1994, acquired by Thoma Bravo in 2015, and subsequently purchased by Roper in May 2018 for $1.1 billion. The new platform is part of a broader cloud migration strategy that included the launch of the “Provision NXT” tax provision solution in December 2025.
"PowerPlan NXT is a major step forward for large enterprises navigating growing accounting complexity," said Raphael Shure, CEO of PowerPlan. "Our customers manage some of the most complex, mission‑critical asset portfolios in the world, and NXT gives them the speed, clarity, and continuous innovation they require for financial success."
PowerPlan NXT builds on the company’s existing cloud‑based offerings and is expected to accelerate adoption among existing customers while attracting new asset‑heavy enterprises. The platform’s AI‑driven features are designed to streamline close cycles, reduce manual effort, and improve data integrity, positioning PowerPlan to strengthen its competitive moat in the financial software space.
