Rail Vision Ltd. announced that it has finished a two‑month proof‑of‑concept demonstration of its MainLine safety system in India, concluding on March 16 2026. The evaluation, carried out in partnership with Sujan Industries, tested the system’s real‑time object detection, classification, and operational stability under Indian rail operating conditions, and confirmed the system’s ability to detect hazards up to 2,000 meters ahead of a moving train.

The customer’s official report praised the system’s performance and indicated that it is suitable for broader deployment across Indian Railways. The successful POC represents a key step toward expanding Rail Vision’s global footprint and generating new revenue streams in one of the world’s largest rail networks.

"Successfully completing this POC and demonstrating our MainLine system in real‑world operating conditions is an important achievement for Rail Vision. Receiving positive feedback from the customer following the evaluation reinforces our confidence in the value our technology can bring to railway operators in the region," said David BenDavid, CEO of Rail Vision. "We are pleased with the evaluation results and the opportunities they highlight for Indian rail operators. We believe the POC underscores the potential of Rail Vision's technology to enhance operational safety and efficiency, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration to advance opportunities within the Indian railway sector," added Brijesh Sujan, CEO of Sujan Industries.

Rail Vision has faced significant financial challenges in recent periods, including negative margins, declining revenue in some quarters, and a distressed Altman Z‑Score. While the company’s revenue growth in 2024 was strong, the overall financial picture remains under pressure. The POC, however, could help the company diversify its revenue base and improve its financial position by opening a large, high‑growth market.

Indian Railways is investing heavily in AI and machine‑learning safety solutions, deploying systems such as TRI‑Netra and Kavach. Rail Vision’s MainLine system competes in this space by offering advanced detection and classification capabilities that can be integrated into existing infrastructure.

The Indian market’s size and the strategic partnership with Sujan Industries—an established supplier to the rail industry—provide Rail Vision with a foothold that could lead to broader deployment across the network. Successful implementation in India would signal the system’s readiness for other large rail operators worldwide.

In addition to its safety platform, Rail Vision is exploring quantum computing through its subsidiary Quantum Transportation, a move that could complement its railway technologies. Nonetheless, the company’s financial risks remain, underscoring the importance of this milestone as a potential catalyst for future growth.
