Smithfield Foods Launches Ready‑to‑Cook Pork Cuts

Smithfield Foods introduced its first‑of‑its‑kind Meal Ready Cuts line on April 14 2026, making the pre‑cut, pre‑marinated pork products available nationwide at major retailers such as Walmart, Kroger, Albertsons and Meijer.

The line includes Korean BBQ pork loin strips, Carne Asada pork loin strips and Sweet & Smoky BBQ pork belly bites. Each cut is ready to cook, allowing home cooks to prepare a meal in under 20 minutes without chopping, seasoning or marinating. The products contain up to 19 grams of protein per serving, positioning them as a premium, high‑protein option for busy weeknights.

Smithfield’s packaged‑meats segment already generates 85 % of the company’s operating profit. By adding the Meal Ready Cuts line, the company is expanding its high‑margin, value‑added product portfolio and reducing exposure to the volatility of its hog‑production business. The launch is expected to drive volume growth in the packaged‑meats category and reinforce Smithfield’s leadership as a branded pork provider in the U.S. market.
