SLB announced a three‑year agreement with Angola‑based Azule Energy on March 31, 2026, to extend its Delfi cloud‑based digital platform across Azule’s broader operations. The deal builds on two years of Delfi use within Azule’s reservoir organization, where the platform has supported reservoir studies, modeling, simulation and well planning. Early deployments have already shown benefits, with integrated well‑planning tools cutting planning cycles from days to hours and improving automation.

Azule Energy, a joint venture between BP p.l.c. and Eni S.p.A., is Angola’s largest independent energy producer. The partnership deepens SLB’s presence in the African market and reinforces its strategy of positioning digital solutions as a core component of energy delivery. The agreement is part of SLB’s broader effort to grow its digital business and create recurring, high‑margin revenue streams in international markets.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. However, the expansion of Delfi across Azule’s operations is expected to generate additional recurring revenue for SLB and strengthen its recurring high‑margin digital portfolio.

“Azule operates large, complex energy assets where execution reliability and consistency matter. This agreement expands the use of an enterprise digital platform that connects workflows and data, strengthening and accelerating decision‑making and improving execution predictability in support of reliable energy delivery in Angola,” said ND Maduemezia, president of Europe and Africa at SLB.

The market reacted positively to the announcement, with investors viewing the multi‑year expansion of a proven digital platform with a major energy producer in a key international market as a validation of SLB’s digital strategy and a signal of future revenue growth in its high‑margin digital segment.
