Society Pass Incorporated (NASDAQ: SOPA) and its majority‑owned subsidiary NusaTrip Inc. (NASDAQ: NUTR) announced a new exclusive partnership with Singapore‑based Gorilla Networks Pte Ltd. The deal makes Gorilla the sole global eSIM connectivity provider for NusaTrip’s online travel platform and its affiliated distribution channels.

Under the agreement, Gorilla will supply a platform‑level connectivity stack that includes activation, management, and scaling of eSIM products across more than 120 countries. The partnership is designed to embed seamless mobile connectivity into the booking experience, allowing travelers to activate data plans before departure, maintain connectivity during travel, and manage usage after arrival.

The partnership is expected to generate a high‑margin digital revenue stream for NusaTrip. Management has described the eSIM layer as a “core, monetizable layer within the travel booking experience,” positioning it as a differentiator against competitors such as Sea Limited and Grab Holdings. While the financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed, the partnership aligns with Society Pass’s broader strategy to monetize its digital ecosystem through ancillary services.

Industry analysts note that the global travel eSIM market is projected to grow from $1.8 billion in 2025 to $8.7 billion by 2030, a 380 % increase, according to Juniper Research. By embedding connectivity into the booking process, NusaTrip aims to capture a share of this expanding market and accelerate its path to profitability.

NusaTrip has faced flat revenue and significant operating losses over the past three years, despite a high gross margin. The new eSIM revenue stream is therefore seen as a critical lever to improve the company’s financial health. CEO Anson Neo emphasized that the partnership will allow NusaTrip to maintain full control of the customer relationship and brand experience while scaling globally.

Gorilla Networks CEO Loic Gautier highlighted that travel connectivity is evolving into a “core digital layer embedded inside the travel experience itself.” The partnership validates Gorilla’s strategy to build a scalable connectivity platform and expands its presence in the Southeast Asian travel market.

The announcement followed a $1.8 million minority investment by Society Pass in Gorilla Networks on January 29, 2026, marking Society Pass’s entry into the global eSIM market.

While the market reaction was tempered by concerns over Society Pass’s broader financial profile and the lack of disclosed financial terms, the partnership is viewed as a strategic step toward diversifying revenue and enhancing the value proposition of NusaTrip’s travel platform.
