Safe Pro Group Inc. (NASDAQ: SPAI) announced a Master Teaming Agreement with an unnamed U.S. government prime defense contractor that will combine the company’s patented Safe Pro Object Threat Detection (SPOTD) AI platform and NODE‑X edge‑processing systems with the prime’s autonomous air and ground platforms. The partnership is designed to deliver real‑time situational awareness and force protection at the tactical edge, enabling the U.S. Army to accelerate its pursuit of autonomous capabilities.

SPOTD is a machine‑learning system that can identify more than 150 types of landmines and unexploded ordnance from drone imagery, while NODE‑X provides on‑board processing that allows data to be analyzed without a network connection. Together, the two technologies will be embedded into the prime’s autonomous vehicles, creating a scalable solution that can be deployed in a variety of operational environments.

The agreement builds on a $1 million U.S. Government subcontract that Safe Pro received earlier in the year for AI edge‑processing. By partnering with a prime contractor, Safe Pro expands beyond its existing drone‑based services and positions itself to win larger, prime‑led defense programs. The company expects the collaboration to open additional program opportunities and accelerate revenue generation in the defense sector.

Safe Pro’s financial performance in the most recent quarter shows a 124.5% year‑over‑quarter increase in revenue to $0.23 million, although the company posted a net loss of $3.4 million. For FY 2024, revenue rose 136% to $2.169 million, and the company completed a share‑repurchase program of 400,000 shares. In addition, Colonel (Ret.) Jarret Mathews was appointed Chief Operating Officer under a two‑year employment agreement that includes a $200,000 annual base salary and a $50,000 cash bonus.

Dan Erdberg, Chairman and CEO, said, "Through this new teaming agreement, we have an opportunity to significantly expand our relationship with a leading U.S. defense prime and build upon our shared commitment to harness AI and autonomous technologies to deliver actionable battlefield intelligence to the U.S. Army and allied forces." He added, "The modern battlefield is rapidly connecting drones and unmanned ground and sea vehicles, creating a pressing need to collect and analyze real‑world data at the edge. By pairing our SPOTD AI platform and NODE‑X edge‑processing systems with our Prime partner's platforms and mission systems, we believe we can deliver differentiated, scalable solutions for use in some of the most demanding operational environments."

The Master Teaming Agreement signals a strategic pivot for Safe Pro, positioning the company to leverage its AI expertise in larger defense initiatives and potentially accelerate its transition from a niche drone service provider to a key technology partner in autonomous warfare systems.
