Stellantis Broadens EV Charging Access to Tesla Superchargers, Paving Way for Native NACS Port

Stellantis has opened more than 27,500 Tesla Supercharger stations across North America to owners of its Dodge, Jeep®, Ram, FIAT and Maserati battery‑electric vehicles. The expansion is enabled by a new Free2move Charge NACS‑CCS1 DC adapter, available for $230 at Stellantis‑certified dealerships and online, and a built‑in “Magic Dock” adapter that plugs directly into Tesla Superchargers.

The decision removes a major barrier for Stellantis EV buyers, giving them the same fast‑charging coverage that Tesla users enjoy and reducing range anxiety. By aligning its charging strategy with the most widely used fast‑charging infrastructure, Stellantis strengthens its competitive position and signals a deeper commitment to the NACS standard, which it adopted in 2024 after being one of the last major automakers to do so.

The 2027 Dodge Charger Daytona will be the first Stellantis model to ship with a native NACS charging port, eliminating the need for an adapter. Stellantis also partners with the Ionna public fast‑charging network, which aims to deploy at least 30,000 chargers by 2030 and will support both CCS1 and NACS standards, further expanding coverage for its EV lineup.

Stellantis is currently navigating financial challenges, including negative margins and declining revenue growth, and reported a €22.3 billion net loss in 2025. The charging‑access expansion is part of a broader strategy to improve the EV ownership experience and attract new customers, potentially offsetting headwinds in other segments.

By providing its EV customers with access to Tesla’s extensive Supercharger network, Stellantis is positioning itself to compete more effectively in the rapidly evolving electric‑vehicle market and to build a stronger foundation for future growth.
