SaverOne 2014 Ltd. received a new European patent (EP4218305) on March 16 2026. The patent protects a system and method that scans all communication channels inside a vehicle cabin, prioritizes active mobile‑phone signals, and improves the accuracy of distraction‑blocking functions.

The grant brings SaverOne’s total intellectual‑property holdings to 23 patents, with 15 already granted and eight pending across the United States, Europe, Israel, China and the United Kingdom. By adding a key piece of technology that enhances the precision of its RF‑based driver‑distraction prevention platform, the company strengthens its defensible technology moat and positions itself for future licensing or partnership opportunities.

Financially, SaverOne reported full‑year 2024 revenue of NIS 1.68 million (≈$461 k) and a net loss of NIS 34.9 million (≈$9.6 M). Gross margin improved to 36.5% from 27.6% the previous year, reflecting better cost control and a more favorable product mix. In the first half of 2025, revenue rose 57% to NIS 756 k (≈$224 k) versus the same period in 2024, while the net loss narrowed to NIS 16.1 million (≈$4.7 M). The company’s continued net losses are driven by heavy investment in research and development and market expansion, but the margin improvement signals progress toward profitability.

SaverOne has also advanced its commercial reach through a strategic transaction with VisionWave Holdings, which invested $2.75 million and acquired a 19.99% equity stake. The partnership is intended to accelerate the development of an RF defense platform and broaden the company’s product portfolio. In addition, SaverOne is working on a vulnerable‑road‑user detection system that leverages cellphone footprints, a technology with an estimated $1.5 billion market potential by 2035.

CEO Ori Gilboa said, “We are pleased to announce the receipt of this new European patent, further expanding SaverOne’s IP portfolio. It very much reflects the strength of our internal R&D capabilities and our ability to develop differentiated technologies with commercial potential. Our success in securing new patents demonstrates SaverOne’s technological leadership and underscores the long‑term value of our innovation.”

The patent grant, while a modest incremental step, signals sustained R&D activity and reinforces SaverOne’s competitive positioning in the safety‑tech sector. With a growing IP base and strategic partnerships in place, the company is better positioned to defend its market share, pursue licensing opportunities, and continue developing next‑generation driver‑distraction prevention solutions.
