Teledyne Technologies announced a multi‑year contract to supply mission‑critical components for NASA’s Artemis II crewed lunar mission, the first crewed flight around the Moon in more than five decades. The contract covers sensors, interconnects, and data‑acquisition systems that support the spacecraft’s power, protection, connectivity, and tracking systems.

The award brings together several Teledyne divisions. Teledyne Brown Engineering designed and fabricated the Launch Vehicle Stage Adapter that connects the Space Launch System core stage to the Interim Cryogenic Propulsion Stage. Teledyne Reynolds supplies spark igniters for the RS‑25 main‑stage engines, while Teledyne Qioptiq provides space‑qualified coverglass for Orion’s solar arrays. Teledyne Paradise Datacom delivers 800‑watt S‑band high‑power indoor amplifiers for tracking sites, and Teledyne e2v supplies the EV12DS130 digital‑to‑analog converter that underpins Orion’s data link. Teledyne RF & Microwave supplies radio‑frequency components for communications, navigation, and electrical signal routing inside the capsule, and Teledyne FLIR Defense captured launch imagery with its Star SAFIRE 380X airborne system.

The contract is expected to generate revenue across several quarters, reinforcing Teledyne’s position in the growing lunar‑exploration market. The win is part of a broader strategy that has seen the company acquire high‑margin technology businesses, including a $710 million purchase of aerospace and defense electronics units from Excelitas Technologies in February 2025. Teledyne’s Q4 2025 results showed net sales of $1.612 billion, up 7.3 % from the prior year, and the company guided 2026 GAAP diluted earnings per share to $19.76‑$20.22, reflecting confidence in continued demand for its advanced systems.

"Artemis II represents one of the most ambitious human space missions ever undertaken, and Teledyne is proud to support it at every level," said President and CEO George Bobb. "Our long‑standing partnership with NASA, dating back to the Apollo program, underscores the breadth and strength of our space‑technology portfolio."

The contract win strengthens Teledyne’s competitive position against major aerospace and defense players such as Lockheed Martin, Boeing, and Northrop Grumman, and signals the company’s ability to secure high‑profile, multi‑year opportunities that drive long‑term revenue growth.
