Tenable Holdings announced the launch of Hexa AI, an agentic artificial‑intelligence engine that plugs into its Tenable One Exposure Management Platform. The announcement was made at the RSA Conference in San Francisco on March 24, 2026, and the new engine is designed to turn exposure intelligence into coordinated action across IT, cloud, OT, and AI environments.

Hexa AI leverages Tenable’s Exposure Data Fabric to map how vulnerabilities, identities, assets, configurations and AI systems interact across the modern attack surface. The engine validates the real state of an environment and orchestrates remediation steps, allowing the platform to reduce exposures before they are exploited. Tenable claims the system can reclaim two days a month on routine tasks such as asset tagging, a benefit that could translate into significant operational savings for large enterprises.

The launch follows a broader AI strategy that saw Tenable One AI Exposure go generally available in January 2026 and a Gartner recognition of Tenable as a leader in AI‑powered exposure assessment. Tenable reported Q4 2025 revenue of $260.5 million, up 11 % year‑over‑year, and full‑year revenue of $999.4 million, also up 11 % YoY. The new product is positioned to accelerate the company’s AI monetization and strengthen its competitive stance in a market where rivals such as CrowdStrike are unveiling aggressive AI offerings.

Chief Product Officer Eric Doerr said, "There has never been a greater need to have an agentic system preemptively fixing issues before they are exploited. As AI‑based attacks accelerate, the window from discovery to exploitation has effectively vanished." He added, "Tenable Hexa AI marries an agentic orchestration engine to the powerful contextual exposure data fabric of Tenable One, automating complex tasks and orchestrating fixes across the enterprise, neutralizing exposures before they're exploited." A customer testimonial from Tarek Houni, Head of Exposure Management at a French‑based manufacturing company, noted that "Tenable Hexa AI has fundamentally shifted how we deploy our security resources, powering and scaling efficiency across workflows."

Investors reacted cautiously amid broader competitive pressures at RSA Conference, with rivals unveiling aggressive AI‑based security solutions. The launch is part of Tenable’s broader push into AI security, but the market’s focus on competitive dynamics tempered enthusiasm for the new product.

Hexa AI is currently available through a private customer and partner program, with general availability slated for later in 2026. The phased rollout allows Tenable to refine the engine before a wider market release.
