Tandem Diabetes Care announced on March 4, 2026 that its Mobi insulin pump, the company’s smallest automated insulin delivery system, can now be paired with compatible Android smartphones in the United States.
The Android version of the Tandem Mobi mobile app received FDA clearance on November 10, 2025 and entered a limited release in December 2025; the March 4 announcement marks the start of full commercial availability.
The new Android app, available on Google Play for Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy models, lets users manage insulin delivery directly from their phone, adding convenience and encouraging patient engagement.
By extending the pump’s reach to Android users, Tandem taps into a larger share of the global smartphone market, positioning itself more competitively against rivals such as Medtronic and Insulet that also offer automated insulin delivery solutions.
The Mobi pump is powered by Tandem’s Control‑IQ+ technology, which clinical data show delivers 79 % time in target glucose range and 90 % overnight time in range, underscoring the device’s clinical value.
