Twilio Unveils Embeddable Contact Center SDK to Expand CPaaS Offering

Twilio announced a new Flex SDK that lets businesses embed contact‑center capabilities directly into their existing applications, adding real‑time voice functionality for Salesforce’s Agentforce Service. The update enables developers to integrate call handling into their own user interfaces without building a separate contact‑center platform.

The SDK introduces a User + Usage pricing model, giving customers granular control over costs and usage metrics. This flexible structure allows firms to scale with seasonal demand while maintaining predictable per‑seat license fees.

By embedding contact‑center features, Twilio moves beyond its core CPaaS offering and positions itself as a full‑stack communications and customer‑engagement solution. The expansion is expected to broaden recurring revenue streams and deepen the company’s developer ecosystem.

Twilio’s Q4 2025 results showed revenue of $1.4 billion, up 14% year‑over‑year, with non‑GAAP income from operations of $256 million and free cash flow of $256 million. For Q1 2026, the company guided revenue of $1.335 billion to $1.345 billion and non‑GAAP diluted EPS of $1.21 to $1.26, reflecting confidence in continued growth and the new SDK’s potential impact.

Inbal Shani, Twilio’s Chief Product Officer, said, "The era of the siloed contact center is over. Customers want more valuable, two‑way conversations with a seamless handoff experience." Rivian’s Head of Engineering, Severin Andrieu‑Delille, added, "Twilio Flex provides us with a flexible, integrated contact center solution that can be deployed quickly and scaled with the pace of our ramp‑up in production and deliveries."

The market reacted positively, reflecting confidence in the new product’s potential to drive recurring revenue and strengthen Twilio’s developer ecosystem.
