Bell Textron Inc. announced the creation of Bell Textron Ukraine, a new subsidiary that will provide local assembly, maintenance, and repair services for its H‑1 helicopter family.

The new entity will focus on the AH‑1Z Viper and UH‑1Y Venom platforms and will work closely with Ukraine’s Ministry of Economy, Ecology and Agriculture. The partnership follows letters of intent signed in October 2025, marking a progression from initial discussions to concrete industrial cooperation.

The move comes amid Ukraine’s growing defense needs and aligns with NATO aviation standards. Bell’s production lines in Texas are positioned to handle potential orders, and the company has proposed a combat variant of the Bell 407M to further support Ukraine’s air capabilities.

Jeffrey Schloesser, Senior Vice President of Strategic Pursuits, said, “This is a meaningful step toward building a practical, mutually beneficial cooperation with the Ukraine defense and industrial base.”

The subsidiary is expected to strengthen Ukraine’s high‑tech engineering sector and could open new revenue opportunities for Bell, although no financial impact has been disclosed yet.
