Tyler Technologies announced a new contract with Michigan’s Upper Peninsula 911 Authority to deploy its Enterprise CAD and Enterprise Mobile solutions, expanding the company’s presence in the public‑sector market and adding a multi‑county consortium to its portfolio of mission‑critical software customers.
The agreement brings Tyler’s CAD footprint in Michigan to more than 35% of the state’s counties, as the Upper Peninsula 911 Authority serves eight Upper Peninsula counties and four northern Lower Peninsula counties. The deployment will be hosted in AWS GovCloud (US), underscoring Tyler’s cloud‑first strategy and its focus on scalable, secure public‑sector solutions.
Tyler’s win is the second multi‑county consortium of nine or more counties to standardize on its Enterprise CAD platform, following Pennsylvania’s Northern Tier CAD consortium. The contract demonstrates a growing trend of regional public‑safety collaborations and positions Tyler as a leader in this space.
"This initiative represents a notable step forward for emergency communications across the Upper Peninsula. By unifying our counties on a modern, cloud‑based CAD platform, we are improving coordination between agencies, strengthening situational awareness for responders, and ensuring our communities receive the highest level of service during critical incidents," said Bryce Tracy, 911 & emergency management director for Mackinac County.
Andrew Hittle, president of Tyler’s Public Safety Division, added, "Regional collaboration is no longer optional for modern public safety operations – it's foundational."
The contract underscores Tyler’s strategy of expanding cloud‑first solutions across local government agencies and reinforces its leadership in the public‑safety software sector. The deployment will modernize emergency response workflows and improve citizen access to 911 services, aligning with the authority’s goal of delivering a unified, efficient dispatch system for its member counties.
