AgEagle Aerial Systems, operating under the EagleNXT brand, announced that a Malaysian government agency has entered into a contract to purchase an eBee TAC tactical mapping drone and a sustainment package for its existing eBee X fleet. The deal was facilitated through Surmap Sdn Bhd., the company’s Malaysian reseller, and represents a significant addition to EagleNXT’s defense and commercial portfolio in Southeast Asia.

The eBee TAC is a fixed‑wing platform engineered for mission‑critical operations. It delivers extended endurance, 1.5 cm RTK/PPK accuracy, rapid deployment, and efficient coverage of large areas. The sustainment package includes spare parts and components designed to keep the agency’s current eBee X inventory operational, creating a recurring revenue stream for EagleNXT.

This contract underscores EagleNXT’s strategy of expanding beyond its traditional U.S. and European markets. The eBee TAC and the company’s other eBee models are listed on the U.S. Department of Defense Blue UAS Cleared platform, a designation that facilitates government procurement in allied nations. The addition of a sustainment package further strengthens long‑term customer relationships and positions EagleNXT to capture future upgrades and support contracts.

Bill Irby, EagleNXT’s CEO, noted that “Civil and Government customers choose our drones and sensors to deliver hyper‑accurate, actionable data, and rely on through‑life support to maintain readiness.” The statement highlights the company’s focus on high‑margin hardware and the importance of support services in securing and retaining government contracts.

EagleNXT rebranded from AgEagle Aerial Systems in September 2025 to reflect its evolution toward intelligence solutions for government and commercial markets. The company has already secured a sale of an eBee VISION drone in Thailand in July 2025, and its Q2 2025 financial results showed a near‑doubling of drone‑sales revenue year‑over‑year, signaling a successful shift toward higher‑margin hardware.

The Malaysian procurement adds a new revenue source and reinforces EagleNXT’s presence in a region projected to experience significant growth in unmanned aerial systems. The contract’s alignment with the Blue UAS Cleared platform and the inclusion of sustainment support suggest a strong, long‑term partnership that could drive future sales and reinforce the company’s competitive position in the defense and commercial drone markets.
