Udemy announced the launch of Altus, an agentic artificial‑intelligence platform, at its annual PowerUp event. The new solution is designed to help organizations identify critical skills, build capability in the flow of work, and measure the impact of reskilling programs, positioning Udemy as a next‑generation provider of enterprise‑grade learning technology.

Altus combines skills intelligence, personalized learning paths, and continuous measurement to move learning from passive consumption to outcome‑driven transformation. Managers can create customized learning journeys that align directly with business strategy, allowing teams to close capability gaps faster than traditional training models. Early access is slated for the next few months, with broader availability planned for the second half of the year.

The launch comes after Udemy reported Q4 2025 revenue of $194 million, a 3% year‑over‑year decline, and a net loss of $2.3 million. Subscription revenue accounted for 76% of total revenue, and Udemy Business annual recurring revenue reached $540 million. These figures illustrate the company’s continued focus on subscription growth while investing in AI‑driven products such as Altus.

CEO Hugo Sarrazin said, “Altus represents a major step forward in using AI to reskill the global workforce, and advances our ambition to become the leading AI‑powered skilling platform for future‑ready workplaces.” He added that the platform will connect business strategy directly to skills development, helping leaders move faster, build stronger teams, and deliver real results. The announcement follows a pending merger with Coursera, announced in December 2025, which may reshape Udemy’s enterprise offerings and reporting structure.

Altus positions Udemy against competitors that are also integrating AI into workforce development, such as Coursera, LinkedIn Learning, and specialized AI training providers. By moving beyond a content marketplace to an integrated, outcome‑focused solution, Udemy aims to capture the growing demand for AI and digital‑transformation skills in the corporate sector.

The platform’s early rollout will allow Udemy to test its AI‑driven capabilities in real‑world learning environments, potentially accelerating the company’s subscription growth and strengthening its competitive moat in the AI‑enabled learning space.
