Kyivstar Group Ltd., a subsidiary of VEON, has finalized a $160 million purchase of Tabletki.ua, a leading Ukrainian digital pharmacy platform, with the transaction paid in Ukrainian hryvnia.
Tabletki.ua operates a network of more than 14,000 pharmacies, processes roughly 14 million online bookings each month, and generated a gross merchandise value of UAH 57.3 billion (about USD 1.19 billion) in the 12 months ending September 30 2025. The platform reported LTM EBITDA of USD 24 million and net profit of USD 20 million, giving it a price‑to‑earnings ratio of 8.0×.
The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine approved the deal on January 29 2026, imposing conditions to preserve competition and protect user data. Kyivstar will integrate Tabletki.ua into its existing digital ecosystem, which already includes ride‑hailing (Uklon), TV (Kyivstar TV), fintech services, and the Helsi digital‑health platform.
The acquisition aligns with Kyivstar’s strategy to become a comprehensive digital operator in Ukraine and supports VEON’s commitment to invest USD 1 billion in the country between 2023 and 2027. By adding Tabletki.ua’s robust pharmacy network, Kyivstar can deepen customer engagement, cross‑sell services, and capture new revenue streams in the fast‑growing digital‑health market.
"Even in challenging times, Ukrainian businesses like Tabletki.ua are enabling millions of Ukrainians to benefit from convenient, digital‑first solutions," said Oleksander Komarov, President of Kyivstar. "This acquisition will allow us to combine Kyivstar’s successful track record of running and growing digital businesses with Tabletki.ua’s solid foundations to expand digital healthcare to a wider customer base and offer more convenience for all."
VEON Group CEO and Kyivstar Executive Chairman Kaan Terzioglu added, "This acquisition strengthens our commitment to Ukraine by expanding access to digital healthcare solutions that improve everyday life. Together, Kyivstar and Tabletki.ua will accelerate the development of innovative, customer‑focused healthcare services."
