VF Corporation has partnered with Nedap, a leader in item‑level inventory visibility, to deploy the Nedap Inventory Engine across its brand portfolio and more than 1,500 stores. The rollout will begin in Q2‑2026 with The North Face and will expand to other VF brands over time, creating a unified view of stock across retail locations, distribution centers and vendor partners.

The partnership is designed to improve stock accuracy, product availability and omnichannel performance. By providing real‑time visibility of inventory at the item level, VF can reduce markdowns, better match supply with demand and protect its brands from grey‑market activity. The technology will also enable more efficient transfers between stores and distribution centers, accelerating fulfillment for online orders.

The move fits into VF’s broader “Reinvent” transformation program, which has focused on cost savings, margin expansion and deleveraging. After selling the Dickies brand and reshaping its portfolio, VF is investing in technology to drive operational efficiency and enhance the customer experience. The Nedap partnership represents a significant milestone in that strategy, adding a scalable, data‑driven layer to the company’s supply‑chain operations.

Carsten Trenz, VF’s VP of Digital, said, “Our consumers expect the same level of product availability and service whether they shop online, in‑store or through any of our brand touchpoints. Unified visibility across our operations allows us to deliver that consistency and build long‑term customer loyalty.” Hope Waldron, VP of Supply Chain Strategy, added, “Extending our RFID program beyond stores to include distribution centers and vendor partners at the source gives us greater transparency across our entire supply chain.”

Nedap’s expertise in RFID and its iD Cloud platform provides the technical foundation for the inventory engine. The platform aggregates data from point‑of‑sale systems, warehouse management systems and vendor feeds, delivering a single source of truth that VF can use to optimize replenishment, reduce excess inventory and improve forecast accuracy. The partnership signals VF’s commitment to leveraging advanced technology to strengthen its competitive position in the apparel and footwear market.
