Viavi Solutions announced the CyberFlood CF1000, a native 400‑gigabit‑per‑second (Gbps) security and application performance test platform designed for data‑center operators, hyperscalers, and service providers.
The CF1000 delivers industry‑leading Transport Layer Security performance, supporting more than 500 Gbps of encrypted throughput and up to 800,000 TLS v1.3 connections per second. It also validates quantum‑safe cryptography and emulates AI inference traffic at terabit scale. The appliance comes in a compact 2‑RU form factor with four 400G OSFP ports and eight 100G QSFP28 ports, enabling up to 1.2 Tbps of real‑world application traffic testing without external switching infrastructure.
Viavi’s recent quarterly results underscore the strategic timing of the launch. In Q3 fiscal 2026, the company reported $406.8 million in revenue, up 42.8% year‑over‑year, and an earnings per share of $0.27, beating analyst expectations of $0.22. Gross margin stood at 59.5%, driven by strong demand in the Network and Service Enablement segment, which grew 54.4% YoY following the Spirent acquisition.
Senior Director of Security Product Management Sashi Jeyaretnam said, "The challenge has intensified as organizations build infrastructure to enable the agentic era, which require that quantum security, AI inference workloads and AI‑enabled security policies all work seamlessly together. CF1000 delivers the performance and realism customers need to validate modern data center infrastructure and security architectures, while helping them reduce validation timelines, optimize infrastructure decisions and accelerate deployments."
Senior Director at Dell’Oro Group Mauricio Sanchez added, "As networks move toward 400G and higher speeds, the combination of encrypted traffic, AI‑driven workloads and distributed cloud architectures is raising the bar for security performance validation. Platforms that can realistically test security and application infrastructure at scale are becoming an essential part of how vendors and operators reduce risk and confidently deploy next‑generation networks."
The launch positions Viavi as a key player in validating next‑generation security and AI workloads for modern data‑center networks. The platform addresses the growing demand for AI inference traffic emulation and quantum‑safe cryptography, while the global network security market is projected to exceed $30 billion in 2026. By offering a turnkey solution that eliminates the need for external switching infrastructure, Viavi strengthens its competitive edge in a market where speed, security, and AI integration are becoming critical differentiators.
The CyberFlood CF1000 aligns with Viavi’s broader strategy to expand its footprint in network security and AI testing, supporting the company’s recent revenue growth and positioning it to capture a larger share of the rapidly expanding security market.
