Vodafone Group and Wind River, an Aptiv company, announced a partnership on February 27, 2026, to operationalize AI‑RAN for Open RAN networks. The joint solution will be showcased at MWC Barcelona from March 2‑5, 2026, in the Wind River booth.
The solution leverages Vodafone’s 5G network on its O‑Cloud platform and Wind River’s Cloud Platform and analytics. It continuously ingests telemetry, learns normal behavior, and predicts and remediates issues before they affect customers, reducing detection times from hours to minutes and enabling more autonomous network operations.
The partnership positions Vodafone to enhance operational efficiency and accelerate its Open RAN strategy. By reducing detection times and automating remediation, Vodafone can improve service reliability and lower operational costs. The collaboration also strengthens Wind River’s presence in the telecom market, building on its experience with Verizon and KDDI.
