Verisk Analytics announced that its Nordic claims business, Mavera, will operate under the Verisk brand effective April 1, 2026, and that former Chief Product Officer Johan Larsson will become Managing Director of Verisk Casualty Claims Nordics, replacing CEO Roine Gabrielsson who will depart in a few months.
The rebranding keeps Mavera’s Decision Support System (Mavera DSS) product name and core capabilities while positioning it alongside Verisk’s broader catastrophe, risk, and specialty insurance solutions. The change is intended to streamline the company’s European claims offering and deepen integration with Verisk’s global data, analytics, and technology platform.

Verisk acquired Mavera in December 2022 for approximately $28.3 million, a move that has positioned the company to expand its presence in Continental Europe and strengthen its focus on insurance analytics. The rebranding builds on that acquisition by unifying the Nordic unit under the Verisk umbrella, enabling a more cohesive European offering and accelerating the adoption of AI‑powered analytics across the region.
The transition reflects Verisk’s broader strategy of consolidating its insurance analytics business, shedding legacy segments, and investing heavily in AI and cloud‑based solutions to drive growth and enhance customer value across the industry.
