Barletta Boats, a subsidiary of Winnebago Industries, introduced its new Sanza pontoon series on March 5 2026, offering two floorplans and a maximum horsepower rating of 150 hp. The line starts at under $35,000, positioning it as an entry‑level option in the brand’s premium lineup.

The Sanza emphasizes Barletta’s hallmark structural integrity while trimming non‑essential options to keep costs low. The streamlined build removes optional features such as premium upholstery and advanced navigation packages, allowing the company to offer a competitive price without compromising safety or performance.

The launch aligns with Winnebago’s broader strategy to broaden its marine portfolio and capture new market share. Barletta already holds a 9.1 % share of the U.S. aluminum pontoon market for the 12 months ended October 31 2025, up 30 basis points from the prior year, and the company expects the Sanza to accelerate that growth by appealing to first‑time owners.

Winnebago’s Q1 Fiscal 2026 results, released December 19 2025, showed net revenues of $702.7 million, a 12.3 % increase from Q1 Fiscal 2025, and a gross margin of 12.7 %. The Marine segment contributed $92.5 million, up 2.2 % YoY, underscoring the segment’s resilience amid a softer overall RV market.

"Our Marine segment also performed well in the first quarter, with modest year‑over‑year revenue growth and healthy operating income margins as we navigate a softer market," said Michael Happe, President and CEO of Winnebago Industries. "Barletta continues to outperform the U.S. aluminum pontoon segment, achieving a 9.1 % market share for the 12 months ended October 31, up 30 basis points from the prior year."

The Sanza will be available through Barletta’s nationwide dealer network, which includes a dedicated “Summer Hotline” for customer support. Dealers receive training on the simplified configuration and are equipped to handle the streamlined options list, ensuring a smooth buying experience for new owners.

In the value‑conscious pontoon segment, competitors such as Sunseeker and Bayliner offer similar price points, but the Sanza’s combination of Barletta’s structural reputation and a lower price is expected to give it a competitive edge. The company’s focus on a limited options list also reduces dealer inventory risk.

The global pontoon market was valued at $8.5 billion in 2024 and is projected to grow at a CAGR of 7.9 % through 2034. In North America, the segment grew 13 % in fiscal 2025, and the Sanza launch is positioned to capture a share of that expanding demand.
